Using flexible seating throughout my classroom allows for my students to have choice. Currently I only have traditional desks and chairs. Having options in my classroom such as the high top table and stability balls will make my room more inviting to my students. My students will have the freedom to pick their just right seat and find a spot within our room that is not only comfortable to them, but also sets them up to do their best. Providing choice and comfort allows students to take ownership in their classroom. When students are given this opportunity they are more relaxed and focused on what they are doing verses being distracted or causing others to be distracted. With so many different learning styles I want to make sure my room is accepting to all of my students' needs. The items that I have selected provide a large variety in the types of seating my students will have access to. The cafe table will give students the options o stand and stretch while they work. Stability balls and wobble cushions provide an opportunity for students to move and bounce while they work if that is what they need to be productive. Lastly the surf floor tables are a perfect choice for those who like to sit on the floor. They correct posture and even have a flat top desks for the students to hold their Chromebooks.
