Teaching in today’s world isn’t all about talking and students listening like it was when I was little. Students now learn in many different ways, one of those being visually. Providing my classroom with a document camera will allow me to model exactly how things should be done. For instance, I would be able to show them how homework should look in their planner, what their writing binders should look like, provide examples of good or bad writing pieces, and even model step by step how to edit a rough draft. Binders will keep our classroom smooth sailing! They will allow the students to become more organized, and my students will be able to open and close them quicker and more efficiently than a folder with brads. Extra pencils, paper, and sticky notes will keep us up to date on all of our writing activities. We use these daily to take notes on things we might need to add to our writing or even when writing suggestions to our partners.
