My students will be able to experience a different type of fitness activity, through gymnastics. In order to safely teach gymnastics, we need mats to cover our gym floor during lessons. Our North Carolina curriculum requires the coverage of tumbling and gymnastics, which we cannot properly teach without the use of these new mats. Our students will learn a new type of physical activity that could positively impact their viewpoint on physical education. I will teach them different stunts, balances, and tumbling activities. The students will learn to perform their own routine, which will enhance their self-esteem and give them a sense of purpose in the classroom. In a small, Title 1 school, a sense of purpose and belonging is crucial to these students. Your generous donation will impact our school's students for years to come by providing quality tools to achieve success.
