Usually, as children grow, they get social cues from others and their environment in order to adapt their social skills and learn about their emotions. However, for some students with special needs, these skills need to be taught directly. Help our class get the resources and materials we need to learn about big feelings, emotions, and social skills to be our best selves in the classroom, in the school, at home, and in the community! These materials will be used during small group and individual sessions to allow students to explore their feelings and emotions in a safe environment before generalizing these skills beyond the classroom. A strong foundation in social skills can mean the difference in successful inclusion outside the self-contained classroom.
