Oh, how I love kindergarten! For many children, it is their first school experience. I work in a K-1 Title One School where many receive free and reduced lunch. My students come in every day energized and ready to learn. It is amazing to watch doors in the mind open as you connect new ideas and witness them gaining reading skills and number sense. Kindergarten sets the foundation for a child's education. I love their optimistic attitude - when things might be difficult all I have to ask is "CAN WE DO IT?" and with confidence they reply, "YES, WE CAN!"
