My students are the most energetic, inquisitive, and hard-working children I know. Half of them come from low-income families, and sometimes worry about where their next meal is coming from. They come into the classroom looking for a safe, predictable, and motivating environment. They look at each day as a new adventure with their teacher as their guide. My students are an amazing and challenging group that require me to have an array of tools, in my tool belt of experience, that puts them first and opens their hearts and minds to the adventures of learning. We are a Title 1 school that meets the emotional, physical, and social needs of our students. We provide extra clothing, extra food, and essentials that allow my students to be the best they can be. They strive to be the future leaders of the world, and we make sure they have opportunity to fulfill that dream.
