I am requesting double sided magnetic dry erase boards, alpha-bots, letter and number stamp set and alphabet activity. Each of these items will help my students learn letter sound, understand meanings of words through pictures and play. They will be begin to understand the structures of letters. My students will also develop an understanding that letters will represent speech sounds. These items will encourage my students' early writing skills. This will give them an understanding that writing is a way of communicating for a variety of purposes. They will understand how to apply early stages of writing and drawing to convey meaning. These materials will be a good fit in our literacy center where the children can access them anytime they want to.
