I teach art to 9th graders at a completely new high school in New Orleans. Through special circumstances, I was able to get the job where I've had to begin an art program with very limited resources. Through a few private donations (friends and family), I've been able to start and provide materials to eager youth still suffering from the after affects of Katrina. We are an open-enrollment school and have, quite possibly, the most diverse student population (racial and economic) of any new school in the city.

About my class
