I am trying a hands on approach to helping my young students have a better understanding of what numbers are, what numbers represent and how to compose and decompose numbers. I want my students to be able to solve and explain math equations with a deeper understanding. My students need new dice with ten frames so they can visually see and count dots as they relate to a group of ten. The dice that we have are outdated and only have the dots to count. The boards with number bonds will help students be able to visualize how whole numbers are made of parts. Giving children a visual will improve their learning of basic addition and subtraction. The magnetic ten frame will be on the board for me to teach numbers in many different ways. It will also assist students with addition and subtraction. I hope to make this years students Marvelous Mathematicians!
