I'm super excited to start the year teaching my students about Visual arts and all the amazing aspects that go along with it. There is just one slight problem, due to it being my first year teaching I have little to no supplies. My students will not be able to create amazing masterpieces for the art show without pencils or paper. I'm enlisting the help of others from DonorsChoose in order to help me get on my feet for the first year. Any little bit helps. I want to be able to inspire my students to not only become artists, but thinkers and innovators as well. Art helped me to come out of my shell and become the person I am today. I want to inspire my students to do the same. We need to create a colorful learning space to foster creativity and imagination. These items I'm asking for are just the basics to help me get started for the year. -Paint brushes and water color/crayola paint to start our Vincent Van Gogh paintings, and paint like Michealangelo. -Pencils to draw still lives, self portraits, and landscapes. A lot can be done with just a small amount of materials. So know that every contribution helps.
