I teach English IV & English IV Inclusion at Billy Ryan High School in Denton, TX. Ryan is a title I school known for their athletic prowess. My classroom is unique within the school as we have flexible seating and the Clifton strengths program is incorporated into our daily learning. Each student identifies their top 5 strengths during the first 9 weeks of the class and we groom those strengths over the rest of their senior year. My students also have the ability to win a party every 4 weeks if their class has the highest percentage of attendance out of my 7 classes. They are also given a ticket each time they turn in a completed assignment on time. These tickets are drawn from their class jar at the end of each 9 weeks. 14 students get a sonic drink, 7 students get starbucks, and 7 students get the fast food of their choice.
