Middle School Students need to have books which they can relate to, discuss, and learn from. These three titles, Everything Everything, Words on Bathroom Walls, and Dreamland feature characters that resonate with students and introduce students to topics around healthy relationships and mental health concerns. Sometimes, the sensitive subjects we need to discuss are the hardest to talk about. Using these texts, students will begin with a common understanding to support deep conversations about safe relationships, the impacts of stress on personal health, and how mental health challenges influence choices people sometimes make.
