Brain breaks help students get re-energized and ready to continue learning. After an academic lesson students get up out of their seats and choose an area of the classroom to relax, get comfortable and ready to participate in a hands-on activity with their friends. These sensory items will spark my students' creativity along with promoting socialization. The sensory diet provides sensory input a child needs to stay focused and organized. Students with disabilities require a multi-sensory approach to learn. The flexible seating gives students the opportunity to make choices during the school day if they are having difficulty staying focused. If students are comfortable they can maintain their focus and be more engaged in learning.
