My students and I are in desperate need of a whiteboard easel with storage space underneath it in order to conduct small group lesson efficiently. Small group instruction has kind of been on the back burner for upper grade levels… But we are making a comeback with that in the classroom. As educators, we understand the importance of pulling students on a smaller group level in order to give them more of a 1 on 1 feel for reading and writing. The backpack rack would be essential in our classroom to free up some space. I am trying to use flexible seating in my classroom and give students choices during targeted small group time and small group I am trying to use flexible seating in my classroom and give students choices during targeted small group time and small group instruction time. Trying to do that in a regular size classroom with 36 bodies in there can be extremely difficult! By having a backpack rack for my upper grade students we can keep the backpacks outside the classroom or in a small area of the class instead. That would free up lots of space for their bodies to move, grove, explore, read, write, share, and evolve into better learners.
