Our first grade students will be studying ancient art this semester. We will take a BBC tour of ancient caves and then the students will be creating cave art using oil pastels and kraft paper. To give the students the full experience, they will be completing the project with only the light of an LED tea light votive. We are in need of a set of tea light votives that can last us this year and the next few. Also, we are in need of the classic book, Cave Art, by Jean Clottes, so that I can show the students beautiful examples and read them some of the stories behind the paintings too.

About my class
