I typically see my students in small groups. We don't always have access to the computer lab due to whole classes having priority. I would like to bring more technology into my lessons. I would like to pair hands on activities and books, with a technology component. I would use the I pads to allow the kids to pair up and work on that part. There are many programs that target social/pragmatic skills. The students can be exposed to the situation and role play outcomes on the I pad before encountering these scenarios in "real life". This will allow the students to know what to expect and how to react in the situation.
We work in a small but comfortable space. I work with many children that have difficulty sitting for longer period of time. Right now the students can sit in a chair or stand. I would like to give them more options- this is where the flexible sitting comes into play. The students lose a lot of learning time due to not being able to focus. They will be able to regulate their bodies and in turn, ready their minds to learn.
