This year I am lucky to be teaching a diverse group of students. In my classroom I like to have the children congregate at the front of the room as a group as much as possible. I feel by doing this the students are up close and sitting next to each other to make turns and talks more feasible. A problem that I have encountered with this is them having difficulty taking notes with nothing to lean on. Wouldn't it be great if they had some clip boards to help with this struggle?! Many of my students don't have books in their homes. I love to let them "shop" in my library but often it is difficult for them to keep track of the books they borrow from the classroom library. Book baggies would be a great help in assisting these students to transport books to and from school in an organized manner so they can read at home and our classroom library doesn't suffer!
