With the books and the Echo dot, we'll study some Common Core Standards in regards to informational text and literature. Also, the books will give us an opportunity to practice the use of language arts through verbal discussions, debates, presentations, and written assignments. Any use of technology makes the opportunity for learning greater. Beyond the academic component, the books will provide a glimpse into the past. The books focus on historical content such as the Holocaust and African American rights. I want my students to be aware of the many injustices that different people faced and still face. Based on their knowledge, I want to make them passionate human beings today and into the future.
