Small group instruction is a big part of our school day. Students not meeting with the teacher work in centers. Their interests are always changing. We are very limited with what we have to offer. Our school media center does not currently offer a listening center. Having a listening center Students love to be read to so the use of a listening center will help while students work alone. Listening to reading is an options through which hearing stories, children are exposed to a wide range of words. This helps them build their own vocabulary and improve their understanding when they listen, which is vital as they start to read.
