Every year, we push our students to be the best readers they can be. I will be creating reading logs for each student. These logs will be in a bag with a book for students to take and read every day at home. Leveled reading books help to ensure students are getting a book they can successfully read or to push them to the next level of reading based on the data we collect on each student. Having students read every night at home will help build their self esteem when they come in to read for me. They will already be familiar with the book and be ecstatic when they are able to read it to me as their teacher. As an early childhood educator my goal is to have children excited about reading. These leveled readers will be exactly the level the child needs to read to be successful!
