My students need a tablet and a headphone splitter to to be able to independently listen to their favorite stories. They also need a case to protect the tablet. Listening to someone read the stories will help spark the students' interest in a variety of books. This will eventually help with their fluency and comprehension of different texts. I want my students to experience books in a wide range of ways. Our classroom currently does not have a way to listen to stories being read (expect for listening to the teacher). However we do have headphones waiting to be put to use.
