Flexible seating will allow my students to sit comfortably and be fully attentive during instruction! Students can choose to use a wiggle seat, yoga ball, stand up desk, or wobble seat to move freely in a way that does not distract other learners. Each day, students will get to pick the best seating for their specific needs. This will allow my 5th graders to focus on academic instruction instead of the discomfort of a rigid desk and chair. These materials will help to set my students up for success by allowing students with attention difficulties to move quietly without distracting. Research has shown that flexible seating improves health by increasing blood circulation, improving class room engagement, and lowering obesity!
