I have used the free version of Brain Pop for my students when it is a topic on curriculum and my students will work harder during class so they can watch extra episodes. Besides being educational, it motivates positive behavior in my classroom. Working together as a group is a challenge for my class, however, they are all cheering each other on when we take the online quiz. We also will be using this program, not only for reinforcement of curriculum topics, but we also will use it to introduce new topics and see how much prior knowledge we already have. The donation for this project will give my students access to a program that will challenge them as well as excite them to learn more about topics. I feel that many of my students are not given an opportunity to discover topics in a way that inspires them to learn more. I want them to be encouraged to learn as much as they can about history and the sciences.
