Technology is a vital part of education today. Students need to know how to use technology and how to learn with technological support. iPads offer a unique form of learning in the classroom. As a teacher with students of varying degrees of education, I need to provide them with opportunities to either catch up or challenge themselves, as is required by their level of ability. I am confident that iPad minis will help me meet their educational needs. A Technology Center will help my students become involved with meaningful and educational tasks that they are excited about. I plan to utilize programs such as: Lexis Reading Core, Accelerated Reader, Writing Wizard, Sight Word Ninja, and Starfall ABC. All of these applications will teach my students necessary skills, while engaging their attention and getting them excited about learning.
