This project will help to provide me with the resources I need to teach financial literacy and money management to my students and ensure they learn these valuable skills. I am requesting various books on money management for teens and young adults to help stress the importance and lessons at a level they will grasp and understand. The board games will help my students during our Personal Financial Literacy Unit. They will not only be challenged to learn Personal Financial Literacy ideas they will also have fun with their classmates while doing so. Students will be challenged to face real world situations, practice real world investing, learn the differences between an asset and a liability and discover the power of understanding your personal financial statement. The subscription to The New York Times Upfront will allow me to tie in real world examples and show how the concepts we are learning in class are out there happening today.
