They facilitate vocabulary, helping teachers and staff point out common nouns and verbs. The stories are perfect for having students orally answer basic questions (who, what, where , when, why). And most of all, students of all backgrounds enjoy rereading big books again and again, which helps with fluency and overall literacy.
