Our Second Grade Class utilizes flexible seating and this is where students would receive their mini-lessons for reading, math, science, and writing. Research shows that students perform better when they feel comfortable and secure. Students will also have plenty of room to spread out on this wonderful rug! As a teacher, I believe students have the right to experience learning in a way where they are comfortable. Staying at a hard desk all day is so uncomfortable that we adults can't even do it, so why should our kids? We offer a variety of supplies to move around the classroom during their solo work time. Students have pillows, blankets, and bean bags that they use around our room. I look forward to this rug being another item they can utilize during their solo work time as well as group lesson time!!!!! ~~Thank you so much for your amazing donations!
