Colonialism to the Civil War goes digital in the hands of students! Students will create a documentary series of key events from the era of colonialism to the civil war. The documentaries will be launched via Apple TV and serve as memoir of United States History and learning tool for others via the internet. The camera and laptop will allow student to record and edit footage. These material will assist my students as we dive deep into American History and also introduce them to journalism, editing, and creating an educational based channel. Students will work on research, development, or production teams to create the documentaries. These technology based projects will increase students interest, provide hands-on technology experience, and make history exciting. Ultimately, these material will provide my students with a platform that is generally unavailable to them and increase content mastery.
