The materials and supplies that I am requesting will help create an interactive math classroom for 5th graders. I switched grade levels this year so I am starting over with supplies and manipulatives. My goal this year is to make math as fun as possible by incorporating games and differentiated math stations. I teach approximately 75 students daily and what works for one class doesn't necessarily work for the other. Differentiated learning will help students reach their learning potential and prepare them for middle school. This will give my students an opportunity to learn the way they feel comfortable. Often students are intimidated by math because they think it's too hard. I want to change the way they approach math and approach learning.
