Last school year I started a classroom library to motivate and inspire my students to love reading. Having books that interest them and pillows that make the library feel like home is what I wanted to provide them with. Although my class library is not complete, I noticed the tremendous difference in their love for reading and the comfort a small class library has brought them. Last year, I also took over yearbook class. Using my personal camera to produce a transformed yearbook edition has been a challenge. Seeing my students enjoy photography and become more responsible has been rewarding for students and myself, and that is why I truly believe that adding another camera would increase the excitement for my students to use their creativity and capture memorable moments. The products I have selected will give my students a wider selection of novels and more seating options in our classroom library. The Nikon camera will help my students' responsibility of photographing school events easier and realistic. The novels, library pillow, bean bag, and camera will benefit all the students in my classroom as well as the whole school. Making students feel motivated to read is essential in making them life long readers and learners. I would like to continue inspiring kids to be readers and photographers, and I know these items will help me do that.
