This year we have chosen to take a different approach on English Language Arts because our students tend to struggle in this area. With these books, students will be exposed to higher level text as well as grade level and have a variety of different subject area activities that will go along with that story. We will take it a step further, by having non-fiction text that ties in with these books. The books will expose the students to different genres and cultures. Introducing the student to these authors, will no doubt encourage them to read more of their books.
