My students would be given many opportunities to learn the great musical traditions of folk music and classical music through singing, listening, movement, and composition. With this curriculum, they will be actively-involved in music-making from the start of the school year! Classes would include activities such as singing echo-songs, playing song circle games, doing movement, playing instruments, and being active participants in folk stories which include songs the students will sing. They will feel comfortable singing children's folk songs, and will develop a strong sense of pitch and beat. Thank you in advance for your thoughtful consideration of my project!
