We have started an Environmental S.T.E.M magnet this year. I am doing a lesson on energy cost and consumption and having students think of ways we can reduce their energy use. In order to do so students will need to understand how much energy is used by the items that they use every day. In order to do so we need a way of measuring how much energy each item requires to operate, and that's where these Kill A Watt devices come into play. I think that if they knew the amount of energy they used every day, then they can start to understand how to save.
