Our classroom needs organization tools and resources such as plastic brad folders and Leveled Books. Plastic Folders are a sturdier alternative to the paper braded folders my students are currently using for homework folders and can be expected to last the whole year. I also plan to use plastic folders for Student Driven Data Tracking. As a new teacher, my classroom library is still in the works and I want to have more books in my library for students to choose from. In first grade, our end of year reading level goal is Level J. I would appreciate having more leveled books to help students work to their goal. As well as a variety of books in the classroom, flexible seating options are great ways to get students excited for learning. I plan to use the stools at my kidney table for small group instruction and the small rugs for our "Read to Self" workstations where students read independently on their individual rug for a set amount of time. These tools will help with engagment and classroom management.
