I have many children in my classroom who do not yet use language to communicate. The school district does not provide assistive technology for the classrooms, so it is up to the parents and teachers to provide the technology. I would like for the children in my classroom to be able to communicate within the classroom environment. I will use the iPads as a learning and a communication tool throughout the school day. I will work with the speech therapist to find an appropriate program for my children who do not yet use language. In my classroom, I will use the programs we decide on while doing lessons and other activities for my children to make choices and get their needs met.
