My students love BrainPop, as this online resource provides animated lessons and resources that bring academics concepts to life! Without this subscription we can only access a few free videos on BrainPop, and we are not able to access many of the concepts we study in 5th grade such as the different types of ecosystems we are currently learning about. A classroom subscription to this program will enable us to use BrainPop animated lessons to introduce new material and build background knowledge that many students may be missing due to lack of experience outside of their small town. With this program, my inquisitive-minded students will be able to research specific areas of interest such as types of ecosystems or how heat energy travels. They will also have access to animated lessons, videos, and quizzes on many concepts in other subject areas such as social studies, reading, and math. A classroom subscription to BrainPop will enable my students to use this animated technology to enhance their lessons, engage their minds, and encourage inquisitive learning both at school and at home. Through this program, my students will become better researchers and scholars as they can access new information or review concepts in class as a whole group, small group, individually, or even on their own at home. Difficult concepts will be made more understandable and engaging through animation and they will be able to use this resource to study throughout the school year and gain a greater understanding of 5th grade concepts in reading, math, science, social studies, and health. BrainPop will help my students to rock 5th grade!!
