Students from various backgrounds learn in very different ways. The Qubits, LEGO bricks and Cossy magnet building blocks will all allow different aged kids the opportunity to tap into their innate building, engineering and mechanical skills using fun toy-like tools. The origami and spirograph tools will bring science, architecture and creativity together for another type of student. There are also mind challenging items and colorful quick creative tools in this project. The best part of Makerspace is it allows students to work alone or in small groups; teaching collaborative work skills. The very concept of Makerspace becomes an equalizer in education. I am excited to see what my students can create and learn using these tools.
