Cardio drumming is a fun and energetic way to help kids move and stay physically active while learning how to drum to the beat of music. All of our students want to learn to play the drums and this is a fantastic way to incorporate drum playing with cardio fitness. This unit of cardio drumming will help them with rhythmic patterns while building self esteem. As each student drums on the knobby balls, their self confidence and moral will help them to build better self esteem. The knobby balls will play many roles in mulitiple different physical education units. Not only will these balls be used for cardio drumming, they will also benefit students as a sensory ball and also as a spiky massage stress ball. Due to COVID hindering physical education the last few years, students will now have the opportunity to move their bodies freely in a fun and energetic environment. Students can control their own movement patterns with guided instruction at their own pace. This helps students to feel confident while learning to stay with the beat of a drum while incorporating rhythm and music.
