In our engineering class it can often be easy for students to get distracted by what others are doing around them. We watch videos throughout the year to help drive their inspiration and creativity for class projects. Students will need to have quality headphones in order to hear various videos and online tutorials that guide their learning. When we do math work or CAD designs, they need to be able to concentrate on their tasks without the worry that they may miss something important in an online tutorial. Even though some students are able to bring their own earbuds or headphones, there are many families still trying to recover from Hurricane Harvey that are unable to provide them. Having a good class set to loan my students will only serve to increase their learning potential and keep them engaged throughout the year.
