These materials will allow my students to work on critical balance skills and other gross motor movement skills that affect brain development and academic achievement all while having fun building positive relationships with peers and teachers! When students are allowed to develop these skills in a safe environment, they learn how to set and achieve goals, how to persevere through difficult tasks and how to have a growth mindset. When kids are having fun, smiling, laughing and moving their bodies, they can change the way their brain is wired creating new pathways for information. For many of my students who come from difficult backgrounds these learning opportunities are game changing.
