These materials will be used to enhance the lives of profoundly disabled students. Making school a meaningful and exciting experience is my goal. With these materials, my students will attain life skills and develop and practice fine and gross motor abilities. Many students with severe impairments have strong sensory needs that must be met in order to learn new skills. The sensory toys, fidgets, and busy boards will provide that tactile, visual, and auditory stimulation necessary to fulfill their needs. I can envision student's learning many life skills using the play kitchen and cleaning sets. Also the gross motor development that can lead to goals like feeding oneself and even writing.
