Everyday begins with Calendar Math in our group area on the floor. My students sit on the floor a few more times throughout the day. The floor is hard and cold. Having a carpet in our group area will make this a much more comfortable and enjoyable place to learn and work. They bring their notebooks to group and work out problems with money, time, addition, subtraction, patterns, multiplication and much, much more. At the end of each day, we meet back at group to read together from chapter books. This is a time for reading, just to enjoy it! Boy oh boy, do they enjoy it!

About my class
