Our school is in urban Milwaukee. Our dual language classroom is a bright, welcoming space for learners at all developmental abilities. It is organized into six areas: a classroom library, a whole group gathering space, a small group work station, a technology table, a writing place, and a dramatic play area. Splendid learning, tailored to individual student interest and need, occurs in this place. Our students are brave, smart, creative, strong, beautiful and kind. They sometimes have complicated home lives, but use these experiences to further their talents as writers, readers, storytellers, investigators, and mathematicians.
