Everyday I welcome students from 5th to 8th grade into my classroom to read, write and learn the importance of punctuation! My kids are funny, energetic, curious and work every day to cultivate grit and growth mindset. I encourage choice and creativity in my classroom. We all must strive towards meeting the same standards, but we get there in different ways. I always tell my kids about active Donors Choose projects, and encourage them to give me ideas about the things they need to enhance their school day. They get very excited as we watch the donations grow towards our goal!
