I teach digital photography to 60 students a year. I also teach an introduction to photography class to 240 students each year. Right now students are using point and shoot cameras, which are fine for beginning photographers. However, to grow their skills and take their photography to the next level, students need access to a DSLR camera. A DSLR camera with manual controls can teach students so much more about the art of photography, and it unlocks endless creative possibilities. Budding photographers should understand f-stop, shutter speed, aperture, and exposure. Having a DSLR camera will directly impact the 300 photography students I see throughout the year. I'll be able to demonstrate photography strategies, and students will have opportunities to put them into practice. Thank you!
