Kindergarten students learn in a variety of ways. We use many types of centers to enhance their academic and social progress. I would like to create a true game center in my classroom this year. Students will be playing games, but they will also be learning as they play. The students will play games that reinforce skills such as alphabet and letter recognition, counting, number identification, and problem-solving skills. The students will also work on taking turns, sharing, cooperating and social skills with their classmates. Children play games, but often on an iPad. I want to get the students back to learning by playing with other students through a variety of games. They will be learning but having fun.
