My school is a newer school in the county and it is growing quickly because it is a SCHOOL OF CHOICE! My "classroom" was not a classroom last year and I am in the process of making it look like one. I want my students to be able to be comfortable and just READ! I plan to reserve at least one day a week for independent reading on a book of their choice, but I can't do that until I have a decent classroom library of books for them to choose from. I have to build a classroom library for my students almost from scratch! We need fun places to sit and books that the students will want to read and check out to encourage them.
