My students need a new and larger carpet for circle time to spread out so they are not touching each other and losing educational time as well as providing a larger area for music and movement time. Our old carpet was a hand-me-down that was quickly starting to disintegrate underneath. The multicultural block play people will entice the kids to come to the block area and use people who look "just like them" that they can incorporate into their building scenarios for a more personal touch. The drying rack will enable my kiddos to place their paint projects in a safe and secure area where it can dry without "running" or accidentally getting messed up. Finally, we'll use the journals for the students to practice writing their names and letters, as well as, work on writing sentences to describe what they have drawn.
