Many of my students struggle with ADHD or ADD. They can't seem to stay in their seat during my lessons. We have tried figit cubes and spinners, timers to stay in their seats. I have tried times for brain breaks but nothing will work. Some students have become distractions to other students. This is why I believe students that have a standing desk will be able to stay focused. When a student is getting up 4-5 times during a mini lesson we know that we have to do something to help them. I have talked with this students mother and we have both come to the conclusion that this will be beneficial for him. I also have a student who just seems to get himself in trouble with scissors or others things in his desk. With a standing desk he cant tap his feet or play with stuff in his desk.
