These materials will change my classroom from a cold, sterile room to a welcoming home to all my new students. Creating a safe and supporting place for them is key as they grow in their academics and social skills. My students have dreams and aspirations. The tools in this project will aid them as they fulfill those dreams. Having the flexible seating in the wobble chairs, bag chair, rubber band kicks and air cushions will allow the classroom to be differentiated to meet their individual proprioceptive needs. The iPad minis are key to engaging the students as they learn the grade-level curriculum. The fidgets will be used to relieve their sensory needs. There is a lot to keep in mind when teaching my students and the first thing is meeting their needs. Please help me do so!
